Hannaford hands out free groceries after POS system crashes

A Hannaford supermarket in West Lebanon, NH handed out between $3K and $5K in free groceries after the store’s checkouts went down. The store manager made the decision to let shoppers take their purchases without paying after concluding they would have to wait a minimum of an hour for the issue to be resolved.
