Amazon achieves record profits for third quarter running

Amazon.com recorded its third straight quarterly record profit in the last quarter as the tech giant topped $3 billion for the first time. Amazon saw continued strength in its AWS cloud division and retail sales grew 19 percent including Whole Foods. Online, Amazon has seen more sales shifting to third-party merchants who accounted for 52 percent of orders in the fourth quarter.
