NY legislature appointment could pose roadblock to Amazon’s HQ2

New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is facing some obvious opposition to his campaign to offer Amazon a home in Long Island City for its new headquarters. The state Senate leader, Andrea Stewart-Cousins, has named Senator Michael Gianaris to the Public Authorities Control Board, a body that has authority to stand in the way of the deal. Sen. Gianaris is an avowed critic of the Amazon deal.
