Group calls for higher standards for organic foods

The Organic Foods Production Act of 1990 was passed to create minimum standards for the production of organic foods. Critics such as The Cornucopia Institute, an industry watchdog, say that standards need to be raised as the lure of big money has caused some to move away from the standards that characterized the industry at its beginning.
