Light on helium, Party City to close 45 stores

The party supplies retailer that runs in the neighborhood of 870 stores announced that, as part of its typical yearly store optimization strategy, it will close 45 stores in the U.S. this year. Party City has cited the global shortage of helium as a contributing factor, saying that balloon category sales have dragged down store performance.
