Amazon wants employees to quit and become delivery vendors

Amazon.com, which is attempting to build up its own independent network of delivery drivers, will pay current employees of the company up to $10,000 and three months of the current salary to become independent operators delivering orders. Current full- and part-time Amazon employees including warehouse workers are eligible for the offer, which does not extend to workers employed by Whole Foods Market.
