Snack sales boost Campbell Soup’s results

Campbell Soup’s third quarter sales and earnings beat Wall Street expectations as the company’s U.S. snack unit boosted revenues and its meals and beverages business improved margins. The consumer product company’s earnings came in at 56 cents per share, well ahead of the consensus of 47 cents held by analysts. Campbell’s shares were up 3.33 percent in premarket trading.
