Papa John’s announced that it is investing $80 million towards marketing the brand and helping struggling franchisees in the U.S. The pizza chain had previously announced that it was cutting a variety of fees in the wake of declining sales tied to unflattering publicity focused on racially insensitive remarks made by founder John Schnatter.
