All of UK Retailer Wilko’s Stores To Shut, With Over 9,000 Job Losses

Wilko, the UK homeware retailer, is set to close all its stores next month, resulting in over 9,100 job losses. The company, which originated in 1930, faced economic challenges amidst high inflation and interest rate hikes. Administrators PwC confirmed that 124 stores will close by September 21, while the timeline for the remaining 222 closures is yet to be announced.
