Amazon’s warehouse workers get same parental leave as corporate staff
August 21, 2017
Amazon.com changed its parental leave policy to offer warehouse workers the same benefits as workers in the company’s corporate headquarters. That has benefitted employees such as Elvira Lopez who took 20 weeks of maternity leave and then six additional weeks where she gradually increased the hours she worked at the Amazon warehouse where she is employed. Amazon’s generous benefit policy has helped it as it ramps up hiring to support its growth.
