Automation puts retail jobs at risk

Retailers across the globe are looking to automation to reduce labor costs and improve the shopping experience. While there are many positives associated with the use of automation, job security doesn’t appear to be one of the benefits. An analysis by the World Economic Forum projects that full implementation of automation could cost up to 50 percent of retail jobs.
