Baristas say meeting with Howard Schultz didn’t go well

Baristas working at a Starbucks in Long Beach, CA, said they felt as though they were not treated with respect when interim CEO Howard Schultz visited the store recently. Employees at the store submitted a petition seeking a union vote. Mr. Schultz, on Sunday, issued a statement that Starbucks plans should not be “distracted by the different vision being put forward by union organizers at some Starbucks stores.”
