Climate change to bring higher beer prices

Barley production is likely to drop significantly as droughts become more common in an increasingly warmer environment. With annual yield losses ranging from declines between three and 17 percent, the price of beer is likely to increase substantially, perhaps even doubling. Americans consume about nine billion bottles of beer a year.
