Data transparency not yet clear in California

The California Consumer Privacy Act, which went into effect on Jan. 1., was intended to provide consumers with more control over and insight into how their personal data was being used. The reality is that business compliance has been lacking or inconsistent in form, leaving many consumers with no more clear of a view than they had before.
