Etsy CEO Josh Silverman has begun cutting costs as the online marketplace for handmade products looks to balance technology investments and revenue realities. The company has refocused its efforts on growing its marketplace, which currently makes up less than half of Etsy’s revenues. The company has seen more of its business shift to merchant services such as advertising in recent years.
