Bob Ingle, who founded what would become the Ingles grocery chain with a single North Carolina store in 1963, has passed away at the age of 77. Today, the chain operates more than 200 stores in Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Virginia and Tennessee and generates over $2 billion in annual revenues.
