Giant Eagle makes a switch at the top
March 23, 2023
Giant Eagle has parted ways with Laura Shapira Karet after 11 years running the grocer. Ms. Karet has been replaced on an interim basis by Bill Artman, formerly president of supermarkets, a 40-year veteran with the retailer. “We’re proud to see someone like him rise through our organization as a leader after starting his career bagging groceries as a customer service clerk,” said Bart Friedman, chairman of the Giant Eagle board.
