Grocers aren’t immune to Prime Day competition

The press coverage around Amazon.com’s planned acquisition of Whole Foods may help the e-tailer move more groceries on Prime Day, according to Megahan Werle, an e-commerce analyst at Kantar Retail. The e-tailer can use the attention to sign more people up for its AmazonFresh service or drive purchases from Prime Pantry.
