Group led by Hudson Bay’s executive chairman bids to take retailer private

A group of shareholders led by Richard Baker, executive chairman of Hudson’s Bay Co., has offered to buy the company for $1.74 billion in cash. Shareholders of the company would receive $9.45 per share, a premium of 48 percent to the company’s closing price on Friday.
