After a tug-of-war with the Biden administration, the United States Postal Service has altered its plan for new vehicles, shifting a great deal more purchases in favor of electric vs. gas-powered trucks. What was originally planned to be an order of 5,000 electric and 45,000 gas-powered vehicles will now be a total order of 60,000 by 2028, 75 percent of which will be electric.
