J.C. Penny to open 500 baby shops

J.C. Penney plans to open baby shops inside 500 of its department stores as it seeks to capture some of the business that previously went to the bankrupt Babies “R” Us chain. The new shops will sell car seats, cribs, high chairs, strollers and a variety of other products previously only sold by the retailer online.
