Kroger takes shelf tags to the edge with new tech

Kroger is testing digital shelf tags that display prices, nutritional information and video ads and coupons in 200 of its stores. The technology known as Kroger Edge will primarily be displayed on end-caps. Customers will need to make use of handheld devices supplied by Kroger to get the full benefits of the new tech.
