McDonald’s & Crocs Collaborate for the Second Year in a Row With a Happy Meal
September 10, 2024
McDonald’s and Crocs have teamed up for the second year in a row, and this time, the two companies have launched a special branded Happy Meal.
Delish reports that the collaboration between the two brands was confirmed by the Instagram account Snackolator and that Crocs Clips, which are little keychains modeled after the recognizable shoes, are a part of the Crocs Happy Meal.
“These are currently out in a handful of countries and they have 10 total and each one comes in the cutest little Crocs box,” the popular blogger wrote in the Instagram post on Sunday, Sept. 8. “A big disclaimer that it’s possible the designs (and number) could differ in the US, but the Happy Meal is definitely coming to the USA.”
The Happy Meal comes in a Crocs-branded box, and the Crocs Clips come with stickers and their own cute packaging.
Some comments on Snackolator’s post wondered if this keychain might not appeal to children as much as typical Happy Meal toys. But judging by the popularity of bag charms and accessories that you can wear on your shoes, clothes, and other belongings, Delish noted that “this generation might just be okay with Crocs keychains in their Happy Meals.”
There’s no information yet about when the McDonald’s Crocs Happy Meal will be distributed in the United States, although it’s presently available in Singapore and other overseas markets.
McDonald’s & Crocs Collaborating for the Second Year
Last November, a partnership between McDonald’s and Crocs debuted with some of the most recognizable characters from the 1970s McDonaldland. The companies created four pairs of clogs in vivid colors related to the personalities they stood for.
The shoe collection pays homage to three iconic characters from the 1970s who were adored by Gen X kids: Hamburglar, Birdie, and Grimace. The renowned colors of the fast-food chain are featured on a fourth shoe. Birdie’s shoes are bright yellow, the Hamburglar Crocs have black and white stripes, and Grimace’s shoes are purple.
To finish the ensemble, fans could also add custom McDonald’s Jibbitz charms to their Crocs and buy pairs of vividly colored socks with the aforementioned figures.
Other culinary titans like Taco Bell, Kentucky Fried Chicken, 7-Eleven, Hidden Valley Ranch, and Peeps have also partnered with Crocs. Prominent performers including Justin Bieber, Luke Combs, Drew Barrymore, KISS, Psy, Ruby Rose, Bad Bunny, G Flip, Post Malone, Diplo, SZA, Karol G, Saweetie, and Jimmy Kimmel have also partnered with the company.
