Michael Jordan, at the end of Game Two of the 1998 NBA Finals, took off the sneakers he was wearing, signed them and gave them to a ballboy to be stored. The sneakers are now being auctioned at Sotheby’s, where they are expected to fetch as much as $4 million in the bidding. That price would make the shoes the most expensive sold on the open market.
