‘Momazonians’ push Amazon for daycare assistance
March 5, 2019
A group of more than 1,800 Amazon employees who call themselves Momazonians are calling on the company to provide backup daycare for times when standard arrangements to care for their kids fall through. The group points to research that shows school closures due to bad weather as well as other emergencies can interfere with the ability of women to be promoted. The group claims that the service they are asking the company to provide is common at other technology firms.
