Mycelium may render leather obsolete
The New York Times 12/14/2022Mycelia, the substance that makes up the root structure of mushrooms, is being used to produce material that has the look and feel of leather without the cow. The leather goods market exceeded $400 billion in sales last year and is expected to grow to $720 billion by 2030.
