New York may pass bill ending the gender tax

The New York state assembly has passed legislation that seeks to eliminate the practice of charging women more for goods similar to those purchased by men. The average cost of women’s products is seven percent more than male equivalents, according to a study by New York City’s Department of Consumer Affairs.
