Pottery Barn saw its same-store sales fall 1.4 percent in the first quarter, the fourth straight quarterly decline for the home furnishings chain owned by Williams-Sonoma. The chain has identified furniture that is too big for today’s smaller apartments as one of the factors for its recent struggles.
