BNSF Railway

BNSF Railway, one of North America’s largest freight railroad networks, has been honored as a “Best Place to Work for Disability Inclusion” by the prestigious Disability Equality Index (DEI). Achieving a perfect score of 100, BNSF has reaffirmed its commitment to fostering an inclusive workplace that values the contributions of all individuals, including those with disabilities.

The DEI, a benchmarking tool developed jointly by the American Association of People with Disabilities and Disability:IN, recognizes companies that actively promote disability inclusion and equality. BNSF’s top score places it among the industry leaders dedicated to building diverse and inclusive work environments.

Debra Ross, BNSF’s assistant vice president of talent management, expressed pride in the company’s achievement and highlighted their belief that diversity and inclusion should extend to everyone. BNSF’s commitment to a diverse workforce is evident through their business resource groups, such as the Disability Inclusion Alliance, which tirelessly promote awareness, education, and equal access to resources. By creating an inclusive culture where all employees can thrive, BNSF aims to harness the collective strength of its workforce to drive innovation and success.
