Nintendo has announced its latest content for the Nintendo Switch in this week’s Nintendo Download. The highly anticipated sequel, “The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom,” will be available on May 12. Players will embark on a journey starting from a floating island in the sky and must navigate their way back to Hyrule while battling enemies. The game offers a vast world to explore and introduces new abilities for the protagonist, Link.

As Mother’s Day approaches, Nintendo suggests spending quality time with mom by playing games together on the Nintendo Switch. Some recommended titles include “Mario Party Superstars,” “Mario Kart 8 Deluxe,” “Just Dance 2023 Edition,” and “Nintendo Switch Sports,” providing opportunities for friendly competition and cooperative play.

Pre-orders are now open for “CONVERGENCE: A League of Legends Story,” a 2D, story-driven action-platformer developed by Double Stallion Games. Players will control Ekko, a young inventor with the power to rewind time, as he navigates the sprawling city of Zaun. As danger looms and secrets unravel, Ekko must protect the city, but trust becomes a challenge.

Nintendo also highlights various activities, including the My Nintendo The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom Sweepstakes. Participants have a chance to win a legendary prize package featuring exclusive merchandise related to the game.

The press release concludes with a list of new games available in the Nintendo eShop, as well as details on the Nintendo Switch Online membership and the benefits it offers. Additionally, the cash-based service, Nintendo eShop, provides a range of content that can be purchased using credit cards or Nintendo eShop Cards.

Nintendo emphasizes its commitment to parental controls and offers resources for parents to manage their children’s access to content. Further information, including press materials, can be found on the password-protected Nintendo press site.
