SONIC Drive-In, in partnership with actress Sheryl Lee Ralph, is supporting public school teachers by partnering with DonorsChoose, an education non-profit.
To celebrate Teacher Appreciation Week, on May 9th, SONIC Foundation will match up to $1.5m in donations to DonorsChoose. SONIC has also offered a free cheeseburger with purchase to all enrolled in SONIC Teachers’ Circle, a rewards program for teachers.
To support teachers and students throughout the year, SONIC guests can visit any of the SONIC locations and purchase their favorite drink, shake or slush, and SONIC will donate a portion of proceeds back to local public schools.
Since 2009, SONIC has donated more than $24m to funding local classrooms.
