Prime Day shoppers may have spent less per order than last year

Shoppers buying goods from Amazon.com during its 48-hour Prime Day event spent an average of $47.14 per order in the first 32 hours compared to $54.64 last year. This marks a further decline from 2019 when the average basket was $58.91.
