Prime membership growth slows for Amazon
October 19, 2018
The number of Prime memberships grew eight percent last year, the lowest level since Consumer Intelligence Research Partners began tracking Amazon’s numbers in 2012. The slower rate of growth may be due to the high levels of penetration the e-tail giant has achieved with its program. The average Prime member spends $1,400 per year with Amazon compared to $600 spend by non-members.
