Retail sales growth has slowed in Texas

Retail sales in Texas slowed in October as the end of federal stimulus payments reduced consumers’ spending power, according to figures from a survey of businesses conducted by the Federal Reserve Bank of Dallas. The percentage of retailers who reported sales increases fell from 36 percent in September to 24 percent this month. Retailers reporting declining sales rose from 16 percent to 19 percent.
