A wide range of retailers and manufacturers including Dollar General and Hormel are taking steps including developing their own truck fleets, cutting back on the frequency of deliveries and taking other steps to reduce costs in the face of rising supply chain costs created by rising fuel prices, trucker shortages and other factors.
