Saudi Arabia grants citizenship to a robot

Sophia, a robot that mimics human expressions and makes use of artificial intelligence to interact with people, has been granted citizenship in the kingdom of Saudi Arabia. The robot, which is designed by Hanson Robotics from Hong Kong, is the first of its kind to be given citizenship by a sovereign nation.
