Shoppers to Pay Cash for Holiday Gifts

Nearly one-fourth of consumers intend to pay for holiday gifts with cash this year, a 9.1 percent increase over last year, according to the National Retail Federation’s 2009 Holiday Consumer Intentions and Actions survey. Another 42.5 percent plan to use debit cards for this year’s holiday purchases.
