Tom Thumb to open first convenience store

Tom Thumb, part of Albertsons, plans to open its first convenience store in a location east of downtown Dallas. The 2,500-square-foot store will have six gasoline pumps and offer items such as cut fruit, hot foods, salads and sandwiches typically found in the company’s supermarkets.
