Twitter’s U.S. ad sales fall 59 percent

Twitter owner Elon Musk has maintained that most of the advertisers that left the social media site have returned and ad revenues are rebounding. The numbers tell a different story with ad sales for the five weeks from April 1 to the first week of May down 59 percent year-over-year. The company’s ad staff is reported to be concerned that a rise in hate speech and pornography on Twitter is keeping advertisers away.
