Wendy’s Fuels Fans With $1 March Madness Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or Double Stack

As the annual NCAA college basketball tournament continues, Wendy’s, the Official Hamburger of March Madness, is offering its customers two deals: a $1 Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger or a $1 Double Stack, available with an additional purchase in the app.

Per a press release, Wendy’s delivery partners are also adding to customer savings. On DoorDash, DashPass subscribers can get a free Son of Baconator sandwich on orders of $20 or more, and other users get $5 off a $20 order. All Uber Eats users are eligible for a BOGO Double Stack Biggie Bag, while GrubHub customers can get a free Baconator with the purchase of $20 or more.

The fast-food chain’s Jr. Bacon Cheeseburger includes a signature square beef patty, crispy Applewood smoked bacon, lettuce, tomato, American cheese, and mayo. The Double Stack consists of beef patties topped with American cheese, ketchup, mustard, pickle, and onion.

“Wendy’s is bringing the heat with the freshest hamburgers in the game and more ways to save on the Official Hamburger of March Madness,” said U.S. Chief Marketing Officer Lindsay Radkoski. “We’re fueling fans who love basketball as much as they love Wendy’s made fresh, hot, and juicy hamburgers.”

Ian Eagle, lead play-by-play announcer for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship added, “This year we’re expecting to see some of the freshest talent in the game give their all for a shot at a National Championship. But if you want my call, Wendy’s is the freshest hamburger in the game — their burgers are made just for you.”

“To avoid any frozen mishaps, Wendy’s has fans covered with fresh $1 JBC or Double Stack cheeseburgers all tournament long,” said Clark Kellogg, studio analyst for the NCAA Division I Men’s Basketball Championship. 

Wendy’s Also Offers Other Tasty Items

For customers not in the mood for a burger, Wendy’s has some new menu items to try.

The Thin Mints Frosty is a new limited-time dessert made in collaboration with Girl Scouts of the USA. This treat combines Wendy’s classic Frosty with a minty cookie crumble sauce inspired by the iconic Thin Mints cookie. Customers can choose either a Chocolate or Vanilla Frosty base, both swirled with the Thin Mints-flavored sauce.

The Thin Mints Frosty became available nationwide on Feb. 21, 2025, aligning with the annual Girl Scout Cookie season. This collaboration offers fans a new way to enjoy the beloved Thin Mints flavor in the form of a frozen dessert.

Wendy’s has also added a Guilt-Free Taco Salad to its menu. The zesty and crunchy meal includes fresh lettuce, creamy salsa dressing, fire-roasted corn, crispy tortilla strips, and chili.
