White House releases ‘AI Bill of Rights’

The White House has published a set of guidelines that it hopes will encourage companies to produce and use artificial intelligence in more responsible ways. It includes recommendations for limiting the technology’s use in surveillance. The guidance is built on five principles aimed at limiting potential harm from the technology’s use and giving consumers the ability to address any issues that may arise by opting out or speaking with a human.
