Only five percent of fashion industry executives believe that cost-cutting along with be enough to return their businesses to profitability next year, according to McKinsey’s “State of Fashion 2017” report. Many are making investments in various technologies to improve e-commerce performance and develop seamless omnichannel operations. Others are looking for the next big thing in fashion such as affordable luxury, which may prove a winner next year as more consumers trade down from great to very good options.
