Zara founder’s daughter to become Inditex’s new chair

Marta Ortega, daughter of Amancio Ortega, who founded Zara in 1975 along with his ex-wife Rosalia, has been named to replace Pablo Isla as chair of Inditex, the retailer’s parent company. “I have always said I would dedicate my life to building upon my parents’ legacy,” said Ms. Ortega. “I have lived and breathed this company since my childhood, and I have learned from all the great professionals I have worked with over the last 15 years.”
