  • Best Buy Wins on EPS, Revenue as It Improves its Full-Year Guidance

Best Buy has been on a bit of a roll lately, beating revenue and EPS figures for its second quarter, seeing comp sales improve during the first half of 2026, and raising its full-year fiscal outlook. “The strength of our Q2 results reflects both the deliberate actions we have taken to position the business for growth and a healthy demand environment for our category,” said incoming CEO Jason Bonfig (more)

  • Bath & Body Works Delivers Strong Q2 Report Card

Bath & Body Works beat Wall Street estimates with strong digital sales growth (3%) and improved discoverability in its second quarter, as well as improved net income ($118 million versus $64 million in the year-prior period) and EPS. “These proof points strengthen our confidence in the strategy, but we remain in the early stages of the transformation,” said CEO Daniel Heaf (more).

  • Frontline Workers, Including Those in Retail, Feel Replaceable

A new study indicates that nearly three-quarters (69%) of U.S. frontline workers, including retail workers, feel replaceable — with more than half (56%) stating that “most people have no idea how stressful the work really is.” On the other hand, a higher percentage (77%) are proud to tell people what they do (more).

  • Target Beauty Studio Attracts Renewed Interest From Brands

Target Beauty Studio is launching September 10, and brands are being attracted to the premise. The new department, replacing the shop-in-shop with Ulta Beauty, will play host to more than 1,600 SKUs across 90 brands, including Manacurist, Joico, Nioxin, and Eqqualberry (more).

  • Kohl’s Creates New Chief Customer Officer C-Suite Role

Kohl’s has created a new chief customer officer role within its c-suite, with chief digital officer Arianne Parisi being moved into the role. “Bringing marketing and digital together under one leader will help foster a greater focus on the full customer lifecycle and how Kohl’s shows up across customer touchpoints. Arianne always starts with the customer – making sure that how we position ourselves as a brand and how we execute as a business both deliver on our customer promise,” said CEO Michael Bender (more).
