Wine and liquor suppliers are facing a 400 percent tax hike

Congress passed the Craft Beverage Modernization and Tax Reform Act in 2017, and the tax relief has been a boon to small distillers, wineries and brewers. The problem is, Congress has been negligent in renewing the legislation, which would need to occur by Dec. 31st, and so it’s likely the tax rates will revert to their original levels.
