Ace considers making a bid for True Value

True Value and its nearly 4,400 stores are up for sale, according to a Bloomberg report. Ace Hardware, which operates a network of roughly 5,000 independently-operated stores, is exploring a potential bid for the company. True Value is expected to demand a sale price in the vicinity of $800 million.
