December lull may follow fast start to the holidays

Shoppers are expected to hit pause on much of their Christmas shopping after a furious four days buying products online and in stores at the beginning of the holiday season. Fifty-three percent of consumers said they spent more or much more between Thanksgiving and Saturday this year than they did in 2016, according to a survey by Gordon Haskett.
