Nordstrom not buying founding family’s proposal

The board of directors has ended talks with members of the company’s founding family to take the retailer private. Earlier this month, the family offered to acquire outstanding shares of the company for $50 a share. That offer was found to be insufficient by Nordstrom’s board.
