Lego hires it’s first non-Danish CEO
December 6, 2016
In 2004, as the company struggled on the brink of bankruptcy, Lego for the first time hired a CEO from outside of the owning Kristiansen family. Jorgen Vig Knudstorp was undeniably successful at the job, leading Lego to overtake Hasbro to be the world’s second largest toymaker. Now, Mr. Knudstrop will move on to run the company’s new Lego Brand Group and Bali Padda, currently chief operations officer, will take on the Lego CEO role. Mr. Padda will be the first foreign-born leader for Lego.
