The Veridian Credit Union has accused Eddie Bauer of failing to take adequate precautions to avert malware being placed on the company’s point-of-sale systems at stores in Canada and the U.S. last year. The suit alleges that hundreds of thousands or people, perhaps millions, had their payment card information compromised as a result of the breach.
